For fluoropolymer hose selection, the process questions must be answered first: which fluid, which temperature, which pressure, what cleaning and what kind of motion? Choosing PTFE or another material name does not on its own settle the suitability of the assembly.
Technical explanation
The chemical behavior of the inner tube, permeation and electrical properties are distinct selection topics. Reinforcement, the external environment and the ends are also parts of the assembly. A conformity declaration within a manufacturer's product family should not be carried over to a different inner surface geometry or a different seal option. In food or high-purity applications there may be document and cleaning requirements in addition to material compatibility; these are determined according to the process and market concerned.

How is it assessed in practice?
Fill in the form to be sent to the supplier with the application information before the product name. Separate the production fluid and the cleaning fluids; state continuous and short-term temperatures. Write explicitly that a response is required for permeation or electrical properties. Add the end fitting standard, assembly length and the cleanliness required on delivery. Do not simplify the supplier's conditional responses and turn them into an unconditional 'suitable' box. In the decision record, keep missing and verified information separate.

The fitting should not be selected independently afterwards. The hose, ends and assembly method must together form a suitable system.
