Short answer
PVC hose is not a single product type. Products with braided or spiral reinforcement or with different wall constructions are designed for different tasks. A transparent appearance or the name PVC does not guarantee pressure, vacuum, food-contact or chemical suitability.
Technical explanation
The basic inputs for hose selection are fluid, temperature, pressure or vacuum, size, motion and connection. For PVC products, these are also verified model by model. The wall construction affects fluid passage, the reinforcement affects behavior under pressure or against collapse, and the outer surface affects environmental resistance. When the service temperature changes, not only flexibility but also the permissible performance may change. The manufacturer tables of two similar-looking products should not be used interchangeably.

How is it assessed in practice?
Open the request with a task definition rather than 'transparent hose': is it suction, discharge or powder transfer? If there is a pump, separate the suction and discharge sides. If food contact is required, ask for the document covering the conditions of use of the relevant product rather than a general material name. Record the inside diameter, outside diameter, spiral/braid and printed markings on the existing sample; do not estimate an unknown operating limit from the sample's appearance. Define the connection method in the same quotation as well.
